#SaukValleyStrong Campaign
At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, local business owner Dr. Joe Schneiderbauer of Live Better Chiropractic recently approached Sterling Main Street and the three area Chambers: Dixon Area Chamber and Main Street, Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, and Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce with an idea to show our resilience and strength amid the COVID-19 Pandemic. After several conference calls and Zoom meetings in a very short period of time, the Sauk Valley Strong T-shirt Campaign began.
While shirt sales are now closed, your shirt will still garner benefits for the remainder of 2020.
Over 600 shirts were sold and ALL of the proceeds raised are being used to support our small businesses in the Sauk Valley.
On May 15th we announced our first round of Micro-grants to area small businesses. Drawn at random from our Participating Businesses, 2 winners each from Sterling, Dixon and Rock Falls were selected to receive a $500 mirco-grant from the funds we have raised. Congratulations to The Spa at Central Park, UOI Boutique, JW’s 3rd Base, You in Photos by Nanc, Flowers, etc. and Basil Tree Ristorante! Additional grants will be awarded after June 1st.
